Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using VirtualShift ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

VirtualShift is a macOS application that enables users to control virtual gear shifting in Rouvy using Shimano Di2 electronic shifters. The App acts as a bridge between your Di2 shifting system and Rouvy's keyboard controls.

License

VirtualShift grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Requirements

To use VirtualShift, you need:

• A Mac running macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later
• Shimano Di2 electronic shifting system with Bluetooth connectivity
• A valid Rouvy subscription (obtained separately from Rouvy)

Third-Party Services

VirtualShift is designed to work with Rouvy but is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by:

• Rouvy a.s. or any of its affiliates
• Shimano Inc. or any of its affiliates
• Any bicycle or cycling equipment manufacturer

Your use of Rouvy is subject to Rouvy's own terms of service and privacy policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
• Distribute, license, sell, or rent the App to third parties
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the App or interfere with other users

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The App will be compatible with all Di2 systems or future versions of Rouvy

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL VIRTUALSHIFT OR ITS DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Safety Notice

Always prioritize safety when using VirtualShift during indoor cycling:

• Ensure your indoor training setup is stable and secure
• Do not attempt to modify your Di2 system hardware
• VirtualShift controls virtual gears only — your physical Di2 system remains unchanged

Updates

We may release updates to the App from time to time. While we recommend keeping the App updated, we are not obligated to provide updates, maintenance, or support.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
